Why We Built Brivila
Brivila exists because running a beauty business had become harder than the work itself. The people who cut, color, style, and care for their clients were spending too much of their day fighting their tools instead of using them. We built Brivila to change what a professional has to carry.
The problem: too many tools, too many fees, too much friction
Look at how a typical beauty business gets run and you find a patchwork. One app takes bookings. A different service handles payments. Client details live in a phone, a notebook, and a chat thread all at once. A listing site sends the occasional lead but knows nothing about the rest of the business. Each piece works on its own, and none of them talks to the next.
The cost of that fragmentation is real. Details fall through the gaps between tools. The same information gets entered twice. And when a client books, the professional is the one who has to reconcile it all by hand.
On top of the fragmentation sits the fee problem. Too many platforms treat a professional's clients as a source of extra revenue, layering markups and booking fees onto the price the client already agreed to pay. It makes the business look more expensive than it is, and it quietly puts the platform's interests ahead of the professional's.
And then there is the technology itself, which too often gets in the way. Software that demands to be learned, that interrupts, that asks the professional to serve the tool rather than the other way around. The busywork of running a business had swollen to fill the time that should have gone to clients.
The thesis: one calm platform that handles the busywork
Our belief is straightforward. Discovery and operations belong in the same place. If the platform that helps a client find you is the same one you use to book them, pay them, and remember them, the gaps disappear — and so does most of the reconciliation work that used to fill the day.
So Brivila puts it all under one roof: bookings, payments with a pay-at-venue option, client management, a public storefront and booking page, reporting, and an AI companion for the busywork. Not a bundle of separate apps, but one product where each part already knows about the others.
Calm is the goal, not just capability. The AI companion is assistive and quiet by design — it removes the repetitive tasks around booking and follow-up rather than adding a new thing to manage. The pricing is honest: no markup on the price a client sees, no surprise booking fees. And because the platform is worldwide and multi-currency, a professional anywhere can present prices in their own local currency and simply get to work.
We were also unwilling to make professionals choose between being found and being organized. A marketplace that only sends leads leaves you to run the business elsewhere; software that only runs the business never brings you a client. By making discovery and operations the same product, Brivila closes that gap — the client the marketplace surfaces and the appointment you manage are one connected thing, not two systems you reconcile.
The mission
Our mission is to let beauty professionals spend their time on their craft and their clients, not on their software. Salons, spas, barbers, and independents all deserve a platform that brings them clients and runs the business without demanding a second job's worth of attention.
That is the standard we hold Brivila to: does it help a professional get found, get booked, get paid, and get their time back? When the answer is yes, the technology has done its job — quietly, honestly, and out of the way. Beauty. Business. Elevated.
